Farmers in Al Najd have begun harvesting wheat for the 2025/2026 agricultural season. The process is being carried out under the supervision of the Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Dhofar Governorate.
The total cultivated area for wheat in Dhofar stands at approximately 6,408 acres, spread across 51 farms. Authorities expect this season’s production to reach nearly 8,000 tons, reflecting steady growth in the region’s agricultural output.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources continues to support farmers in Al Najd by providing subsidized wheat seeds and modern harvesting machinery free of cost. This assistance aims to boost efficiency and productivity during the harvest season.
In addition, the ministry is coordinating with Oman Flour Mills Company to ensure smooth collection and distribution of the wheat crop. These efforts highlight the government’s commitment to strengthening food security and supporting local farmers.
