WORLDEF Dubai 2026: A New Era for E-Commerce

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), the WORLDEF Dubai 2026 will take place at Dubai CommerCity from February 12 to 14, 2026.

As the region's first free zone tailor-made for the digital commerce landscape, Dubai CommerCity is preparing to welcome this significant event, marking the second iteration of a global forum dedicated to enhancing digital commerce and cross-border e-commerce initiatives.

In collaboration with WORLDEF, a pivotal international platform for stakeholders in cross-border and digital commerce, Dubai CommerCity aims to cultivate new business avenues, boost partnerships, disseminate knowledge, and showcase the latest trends driving the global digital trade environment. This joint venture between DIEZ and Wasl Properties plays a crucial role in this effort.

WORLDEF Dubai 2026's mission is to foster sustainable digital trade growth while widening access to global markets. Her Excellency Amna Lootah, Director General of Dubai CommerCity and Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ), emphasized that hosting this forum showcases their ongoing support for the digital commerce ecosystem and reinforces Dubai's status as a premier international trade and digital commerce hub.

She remarked that the impressive turnout from various nations reaffirms the global trust in Dubai's investment climate and its robust infrastructure. This forum also serves as a strategic venue for businesses to expand their global footprint and establish enduring international collaborations that align with Dubai's forward-looking economic ambitions.

Omer Nart, CEO of WORLDEF, noted that the inaugural edition surpassed expectations due to its active participation and engaging discussions. He anticipates that the upcoming edition will deliver a robust agenda that addresses the unique needs of digital commerce businesses and experts in cross-border trade and digital transformation at all levels.

The forum's initiatives align seamlessly with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which is designed to enhance the emirate's competitive edge, elevate its role as a central hub for smart trade, and stimulate cross-border business growth, pivotal for the digital economy's future.

Following the previous edition's success, which attracted over 5,000 attendees from 40 countries, WORLDEF Dubai 2026 is anticipated to see significant growth, with plans for 200 speakers, more than 10,000 visitors from 80 countries, 150 exhibitors, and 120 retail brands.

The forum will delve into essential matters shaping the future of digital commerce, encompassing artificial intelligence, advanced digital technologies, payment solutions, fintech, and logistics, all designed to enhance sector efficiency and foster growth.

Aiming at markets across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the UK, India, and Central Asia, the forum will showcase real-world case studies, investment opportunities, and innovative models to assist businesses in navigating rapid challenges within the global digital commerce landscape.

Hosting WORLDEF Dubai 2026 solidifies Dubai's position as a leader in digital commerce evolution, uniting international markets, know-how, and innovative solutions to redefine the future of e-commerce.
