7X, the UAE-based trade, transport, and logistics holding group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emarat EV Charging Stations Company PJSC (UAEV) during GITEX Global 2025. This agreement establishes a framework for collaboration to plan, deploy, operate, and promote electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the country. The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of clean transportation and support sustainable mobility solutions nationwide.
Supporting UAE’s Sustainability Goals
The MoU aligns with the UAE’s strategic objectives to enhance the adoption of environmentally friendly transportation, achieve national sustainability targets, and integrate digital innovations through platforms like Wayn, the secure digital P.O. Box system. The initiative will improve official customer communications and streamline service delivery.
Leveraging 7X’s Logistics Network
Through its National Network for Logistics (NXN) and logistics arm EMX, 7X will assist UAEV in promoting EV adoption. The extensive network of 7X service branches and logistics centers across all emirates will support the rollout of integrated charging stations. This initiative aims to improve last-mile operations, reduce carbon emissions, and strengthen the national EV infrastructure.
Enhancing Services and Smart Mobility
The partnership will also explore additional services such as parcel locker integration at EV charging stations and smart mobility solutions. These features are designed to increase convenience for customers and further enhance the value of the UAE’s EV network, contributing to a modern and connected transportation ecosystem.
Statements from Leadership
Tariq Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X, said the partnership demonstrates 7X’s commitment to supporting the UAE’s transition to a sustainable, low-emission economy. He emphasized that the adoption of electric mobility is central to improving efficiency, reducing emissions, and contributing to a globally competitive green economy. Ali Al Darwish, CEO of UAEV, added that the collaboration strengthens accessibility for EV drivers and supports the electrification of commercial fleets, furthering the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 goals.
Advancing UAE’s Clean Energy Agenda
The 7X-UAEV collaboration highlights both organizations’ dedication to advancing clean energy initiatives and establishing the UAE as a global leader in sustainable development. The partnership will help reduce carbon emissions, improve operational efficiency, and create new economic opportunities while empowering communities with modern EV charging solutions.
By integrating EV infrastructure with logistics and mobility solutions, this partnership embodies the UAE’s vision for a greener, smarter, and more connected future. It sets a benchmark for sustainable practices in transport, trade, and urban mobility, reinforcing the nation’s leadership in environmental innovation.
