AD Ports Group has forged a partnership with Borouge Plc to boost export resilience and enhance operational agility within the UAE.
The agreement centers around the potential establishment of a new international export hub located on the UAE’s East Coast. This initiative aligns with Borouge’s long-term strategy to enhance export operations through an improved logistics framework.
The collaboration will leverage AD Ports Group’s marine services and port capabilities at Fujairah Terminals and other eastern ports. Additionally, the companies will evaluate the feasibility of creating specialized polyolefins infrastructure along the East Coast.
This venture aims to alleviate dependence on crowded shipping routes while enhancing vessel scheduling and shipping flexibility. The companies will also connect with shipping lines to discover new export pathways via Fujairah Terminals.
This initiative is anticipated to facilitate stable, reliable exports through a diverse network of logistics and port facilities, further solidifying the UAE’s status as a pivotal global logistics and industrial center.
Saif Al Mazrouei, CEO of the Ports Cluster at AD Ports Group, emphasized the partnership’s potential in augmenting industrial exports and connecting regional and global trade networks.
Borouge Plc's CEO, Hazeem Sultan Al Suwaidi, remarked that this collaboration is a significant advancement in enhancing logistics capabilities and paves the way for future growth, creating a more flexible and diversified export network to ensure supply continuity for worldwide customers.
Currently, Borouge Plc stands as the largest exporter using AD Ports Group, with this latest agreement reinforcing their longstanding partnership that commenced in 2001.
