The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has officially announced a spot tender for the sale of crude oil originating from the UAE, as indicated in documentation reviewed by Reuters.
The tender includes cargoes of Upper Zakum, Umm Lulu, and Das crude oil, to be sold on a cost-and-freight (CFR) basis. Participants in the tender can specify their desired delivery locations upon submitting bids.
Interested buyers are permitted to place bids for as much as 2 million barrels of crude oil, with deliveries slated from June through September.
These three crude types are sourced from offshore fields in the Arabian Gulf and are typically transported via the Strait of Hormuz, a critical oil shipping corridor globally.
As stated in the tender documents, pricing will be based on a differential tied to ADNOC’s official selling prices (OSPs) or the Dubai crude benchmark.
This tender arrives as global energy markets remain vigilant in monitoring oil supply chains and regional dynamics in the Gulf. ADNOC's latest offering enhances buyers' access to crude supplies from the UAE while allowing for flexible delivery options.
Included in the tender are ADNOC's primary export grades, which hold significant value in international energy markets and serve as critical supply channels for refiners in Asia and beyond.
