Tigran Khachatryan, Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister, met with Olivier Decottignies to explore significant aspects of their bilateral partnership and forthcoming diplomatic activities. The discussions occurred in Yerevan, emphasizing the need to bolster connections between Armenia and France.
A major focus was set on the anticipated visit from Emmanuel Macron to Armenia. Officials pinpointed the significance of the European Political Community summit on May 4, succeeded by Macron’s official state visit on May 5.
During the talks, both parties reviewed pivotal areas in their bilateral agenda, particularly in drinking water supply and wastewater management. These projects are deemed essential for enhancing Armenia's infrastructure and public services.
Additionally, discussions included France’s role in developing the Sisian-Kajaran stretch of the North-South road corridor, a project expected to significantly enhance regional connectivity and stimulate economic progress.
Education cooperation was also high on the agenda, with both nations deliberating on opportunities to foster academic partnerships and exchange programs. Further strategic initiatives and development projects were explored as well.
Officials reaffirmed the significance of productive dialogue and collaboration, stressing the need for effective coordination in addressing outstanding issues and ensuring the smooth execution of joint ventures.
This meeting highlighted Armenia and France’s dedication to strengthening their partnership and expanding cooperation across various sectors, solidifying their long-term diplomatic and economic relationship.
