Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ), operating under the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), has officially inaugurated the regional HQ of AWOT Global Logistics Corporation, highlighting a significant milestone in Dubai’s growing logistics landscape.
This development underscores the increasing confidence that major global logistics firms have in Dubai’s business-friendly climate, top-notch infrastructure, and strategic location that links Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
The inauguration was officiated by Arif Al Khouri, Senior Vice President of Customer Services at Dubai Airport Freezone, alongside Chris Yang, General Manager of AWOT’s MENA division. The ceremony saw the presence of top executives from AWOT Corporation, including David Lee, Chief Operating Officer; Kenny Li, Chief Commercial Officer; Sophia Zeng, Vice President of Overseas Units; and Kai Zhang, Sales Director, signifying the strategic importance of this expansion.
Launching AWOT’s regional base at DAFZ is a pivotal part of the company’s long-term plan to enhance its presence across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Operating from Dubai, AWOT will manage its regional activities while taking advantage of the emirate’s competitive logistics infrastructure and seamless access to international markets.
According to Dubai Airport Freezone, this move aligns with its objective to attract high-value global companies engaged in advanced logistics and intelligent supply chain solutions. Through its integrated business ecosystem, DAFZ supports the growth of international trade while solidifying Dubai’s position as a premier logistics hub and a crucial link to both Asian and global markets.
Enhancing Growth and Connectivity Worldwide
In comments regarding the announcement, Arif Al Khouri highlighted that AWOT’s regional HQ opening illustrates the strong trust that global firms have in Dubai’s economic landscape.
He added that Dubai Airport Freezone provides a cohesive platform aimed at facilitating expansion and long-term sustainability, directly aiding the ambitions of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the emirate’s economy and elevate Dubai among the world’s top three global cities.
Al Khouri emphasized that the proximity of DAFZ to Dubai International Airport, combined with advanced infrastructure and efficient processes, empowers logistics companies to manage intricate supply chains swiftly and effectively amidst rising global trade volumes.
Chris Yang remarked that the launch of this headquarters is a crucial advancement in AWOT’s growth trajectory, stating that Dubai serves as an optimal base for expanding integrated logistics solutions due to its favorable business conditions, exceptional infrastructure, and strategic market access.

Headquartered in China, AWOT employs over 1,500 staff and operates 55 self-managed locations throughout China, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia, in addition to a strong presence in North America and Europe. The firm collaborates with more than 300 partner agents in over 100 countries globally.
Ranked among the world's top ten air freight companies, AWOT secured the ninth position in the 2025 Armstrong & Associates rankings. The company has conducted over 1,800 exclusive charter flights connecting Asia to the United States, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and other Asian nations, managing nearly 780,000 metric tonnes of air cargo.
