The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has confirmed that its air defence systems have intercepted and destroyed 75 missiles and 123 drones since the beginning of the attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to a statement reported by the Bahrain News Agency, the interceptions were carried out as part of ongoing defensive operations aimed at protecting the country’s airspace and critical infrastructure. Military authorities said the projectiles were neutralised before they could reach their intended targets, preventing wider damage to civilian areas.
The BDF General Command strongly condemned the use of ballistic missiles and drones against civilian facilities and private property, describing the attacks as a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter. Officials said such indiscriminate strikes not only endanger civilian lives but also pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
Authorities urged residents to remain inside their homes and limit movement unless absolutely necessary while the security situation remains tense. Citizens were also advised to remain alert and follow safety guidelines issued by the government.
The command further warned the public to avoid approaching locations that may have been damaged during the attacks, as well as any suspicious objects that could pose a risk. Residents were encouraged to rely solely on official announcements and updates issued through government media channels to stay informed about the latest developments.
Officials reaffirmed that defence forces remain on high alert and will continue monitoring the situation closely to ensure the safety and security of the Kingdom and its residents.
