The Kingdom of Bahrain will celebrate tomorrow its 54th National Day and the 26th anniversary of King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa assuming leadership, which falls on 16 December every year. The occasion comes as Bahrain witnesses major developmental achievements and a modern renaissance under the King’s wise leadership.
Bahrain and Oman enjoy strong historical relations, strengthened by cooperation across political, economic, social, and cultural fields. Bilateral ties continue to grow under the vision of both countries’ leadership, promoting integration and shared prosperity. The Kingdom has achieved important milestones in economic growth, education, energy, logistics, and sustainable development, reflecting its ongoing progress.
During 2025, Bahrain’s economy grew by 2.5% in GDP. The country advanced in education by hosting the UNESCO award and developing technology-based schools. Bahrain also achieved success in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), scoring 97.5 points in the 2025 Communications and Technology Index, ranking fifth among Arab countries.
The economic and commercial relations between Bahrain and Oman are strong. Trade exchange between the two countries exceeded USD 1.4 billion. Bahraini investment in Oman reached nearly USD 1.25 billion, with 876 Bahraini companies operating in various sectors and 1,200 investment licenses granted to Bahraini citizens. Partnerships between entrepreneurs of both countries reached 550, and about 700 Bahraini investors hold shares in companies listed on the Muscat Stock Exchange.
Bahrain’s National Day is a time to celebrate the country’s achievements, express loyalty to leadership, and continue progress in all development fields. Both Bahrain and Oman are expected to further strengthen cooperation, advance economic growth, and support social and cultural development in the coming years.
