Bahrain is expected to experience extremely hot weather conditions on June 12, with temperatures climbing to 44°C during the daytime. According to the Meteorological Directorate, residents should also prepare for strong northwesterly winds that could lead to blowing sand and reduced visibility in some areas across the Kingdom.
The latest weather forecast indicates that the country will remain under the influence of dry and hot conditions, a common feature of the Gulf summer season. Authorities have advised the public to take precautions while traveling and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours.
Strong Winds Trigger Weather Warning
The Meteorological Directorate has issued a warning regarding strong winds expected throughout the day. Northwesterly winds will generally range between 12 and 17 knots but may strengthen significantly, reaching speeds of 20 to 25 knots at times.
These gusty conditions are likely to lift dust and sand in open areas, particularly in exposed locations. Drivers are advised to remain cautious on roads where visibility may be temporarily affected by blowing sand.
Temperatures to Reach Peak Summer Levels
Weather officials forecast a maximum temperature of 44°C, making it one of the hottest days of the season so far. Overnight temperatures are expected to remain warm, dropping only to around 28°C.
The combination of intense heat and dry conditions may increase the risk of heat exhaustion for people working outdoors. Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.
Humidity Levels to Fluctuate Significantly
Humidity levels are expected to vary considerably throughout the day. Forecasts indicate a maximum humidity level of 75 percent during nighttime and early morning hours, while daytime humidity could fall as low as 10 percent.
This sharp contrast may create dry daytime conditions followed by relatively humid evenings, a typical weather pattern observed across Bahrain during the summer months.
Sea Conditions Remain Moderate
Marine conditions are expected to remain relatively stable despite the strong winds. Sea waves are forecast to range between one and three feet in inshore waters and between three and six feet offshore.
Fishermen and small boat operators have been advised to monitor weather updates closely, especially during periods of stronger winds that could affect offshore navigation.
Authorities Advise Public Precaution
Weather experts continue to monitor the evolving conditions and urge residents to follow official advisories. People are encouraged to wear light clothing, drink plenty of water and avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during peak temperatures.
Authorities have also recommended securing loose outdoor objects that could be affected by strong winds and remaining alert for changing weather conditions throughout the day.
Hot Conditions Expected to Continue
Meteorologists indicate that Bahrain is likely to remain under the influence of hot summer weather in the coming days. While temperatures may fluctuate slightly, residents should expect continued heat, occasional dusty conditions and periods of strong winds as the region moves deeper into the summer season.
