Turkmenistan's Balkan Farmers Gear Up for Bountiful Potato Yield

Post by : Shakul

Farmers within the Balkan region of Turkmenistan are gearing up for a plentiful potato yield this season, having successfully completed their planting initiatives across extensive agricultural lands. This effort underscores the significance of potatoes as a staple food crop in the nation.

This spring, agricultural workers in the Balkan velayat cultivated potatoes over an area of about 1,600 hectares. The region has been a consistent contributor to the nation’s overall agricultural yield, particularly in essential crops like potatoes.

Following the completion of planting, farmers have initiated irrigation processes throughout the fields to facilitate the early growth of the plants. Ensuring adequate watering is crucial for the thriving of young shoots under optimal conditions.

In addition to irrigation, farmers are applying mineral-rich fertilizers to enhance soil vitality and boost crop productivity. These strategies are focused on achieving higher yields and quality in the produce.

The farming practices merge traditional methods with contemporary technologies, allowing farmers to enhance efficiency while maintaining sustainable agricultural approaches.

Field operations, especially inter-row maintenance, are being significantly supported by machine operators from local enterprises like “Obahyzmat,” who have access to prepared resources and tools from nearby workshops.

Experts suggest that the timely execution of agricultural tasks according to technical specifications signals a bright season ahead, with expectations set high for a plentiful potato crop.
