Bina Ramani Speaks About Rekha and Mukesh Aggarwal Marriage

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Designer and socialite Bina Ramani has spoken openly about the marriage of Bollywood actress Rekha and businessman Mukesh Aggarwal, reopening a sensitive chapter from the past. In recent interviews, Ramani said that she was the one who introduced Rekha to Mukesh Aggarwal, a Delhi-based industrialist. Their meeting later led to their marriage in 1990. According to Ramani, Rekha was going through emotional stress at that time and was looking for stability and a peaceful home life, which influenced her decision to marry.

Rekha and Mukesh Aggarwal got married in March 1990, but their marriage lasted only a short time before they separated. Soon after the separation, Mukesh Aggarwal died by suicide. His death led to widespread public discussion and criticism, much of which unfairly targeted Rekha. Over the years, many negative opinions were formed without fully understanding the emotional situation surrounding the marriage.

Bina Ramani said that during that period, Rekha was still emotionally attached to actor Amitabh Bachchan and had not fully moved on from that relationship. She shared that Rekha appeared deeply in love yet emotionally confused and troubled. Ramani added that the decision to marry Mukesh came suddenly and surprised many people close to her. According to her, the marriage was not planned for long-term compatibility but was more about bringing balance and order to Rekha’s personal life.

Ramani did not comment on the tragic death itself but focused on explaining the emotional background behind the marriage. Her account matches earlier biographies that describe the relationship as rushed and emotionally difficult. Through her words, Ramani aims to provide understanding and compassion, helping people see this chapter of Bollywood history with more empathy and less judgment.
