UAE Team Emirates Breaks Record with 86th Season Victory

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

UAE Team Emirates–XRG made history in cycling when Brandon McNulty won the Tour de Luxembourg 2025. This victory gave the team their 86th win of the season, a number that set a new all-time record for the most victories in a single year. The previous record was 85 wins, achieved by HTC-Columbia in 2009.

Brandon McNulty Secures Victory

American rider Brandon McNulty wore the yellow leader’s jersey going into the final stage of the Tour de Luxembourg. The last day was a difficult race with a wet and slippery circuit in Luxembourg City. Despite the tough weather, McNulty remained calm and focused, riding carefully with the help of his teammates. He finished safely in the group and confirmed his overall victory, while French rider Romain Gregoire from Groupama-FDJ won the stage.

A Season Of Strength And Consistency

This victory was McNulty’s fourth personal win of the 2025 season, but more importantly, it pushed his team into cycling history. UAE Team Emirates showed power across different types of races, including big Grand Tours, shorter stage races, one-day classics, and even national championships. The achievement was not just about one star rider but about the entire squad working together.

A Team Effort Behind The Success

One of the most impressive details of this record is that 20 different riders from UAE Team Emirates have won races this season. This shows that the team is not dependent on only one or two big names, but instead has a deep roster of strong athletes. It highlights teamwork, planning, and dedication from both riders and management.

A Record That Defines The Year

With this record-breaking achievement, UAE Team Emirates have underlined their dominance in the cycling world. Their consistent performances and ability to win across many types of competitions set a new standard for success in the sport. The season of 2025 will be remembered as a golden year for the team, and Brandon McNulty’s Tour de Luxembourg win will remain the moment that pushed them into the record books.
