The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has advised motorists travelling on Sultan Said bin Taimur Road (Adam–Thumrait) to remain alert and drive carefully on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, as weather conditions are expected to reduce visibility.
According to the CAA, active winds are forecast to affect parts of the road, causing dust and blowing sand. These conditions are expected to significantly reduce horizontal visibility in several locations along the route.

The Authority said the weather conditions could make driving more difficult, especially in areas where dust levels increase because of the strong winds.
The CAA has urged all motorists using Sultan Said bin Taimur Road (Adam–Thumrait) to exercise caution while travelling. Drivers are advised to remain attentive as reduced visibility may affect road conditions during the day.
The warning applies to Wednesday, 22 July 2026, when active winds are expected to continue generating dust and blowing sand across parts of the road.
