A political controversy has intensified after the Chief Minister firmly dismissed allegations made by the opposition, labeling them as “baseless and false.” The CM accused Congress leaders of intentionally spreading misinformation to mislead the public and damage the government’s image.
The opposition had pointed to certain documents as evidence, but these have come under scrutiny for containing several inconsistencies. Reportedly, the documents include spelling errors, mismatched surnames, and the use of publicly available images, raising doubts about their authenticity.
Additionally, discrepancies were found in key identification details, including differences in birth year and nationality references in a UAE-issued ID. These irregularities have further fueled tensions between the ruling party and opposition leaders.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the claims are politically motivated and lack factual basis. The controversy has now triggered a wider discussion on the spread of misinformation and the credibility of documents used in political debates.
