Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Roads and Transport Authority has officially partnered with the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority to enhance regulatory collaboration in line with Law No. (4) of 2021 governing Dubai's roadways.

This agreement is geared towards improving road safety measures, elevating service quality throughout the road network, and ensuring that all development initiatives adhere to established regulations and high standards within the emirate.

The deal was signed by Hussain Al Banna, CEO of the Traffic & Roads Agency at RTA, alongside Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO of Parks & Zones at DP World GCC, representing JAFZA.

According to Hussain Al Banna, RTA is dedicated to advancing road infrastructure within designated road spaces, including development areas and free zones, thereby preserving Dubai's urban identity and enhancing collaboration among principal stakeholders.

He emphasized that the agreement fosters a cohesive planning and execution framework, leading to improved stewardship of road infrastructure and complementary facilities.

Abdulla Al Hashmi remarked that this collaboration advances Dubai's objectives concerning road safety and operational efficiency. He also reiterated DP World's commitment to ensuring its projects are in accordance with approved regulations, promoting sustainable infrastructure and economic advancement.

RTA has established similar partnerships with various key developers and free zones across Dubai, aiming for coordinated road planning and sustainable infrastructure growth throughout the emirate.
