Ranveer Singh’s adrenaline-fueled action drama Dhurandhar is creating waves at the box office with its phenomenal performance. After two weeks in theaters, the film has garnered an impressive Rs 460.25 crore, solidifying its place as one of the top Bollywood blockbusters of the year. With ongoing robust daily earnings, it is now on track to reach the landmark Rs 500 crore mark.
Debuting on December 5, Dhurandhar was met with widespread acclaim in India, fueled by significant advance bookings, holiday crowds, and enthusiastic viewer reviews. The film boasted an incredible Rs 103 crore during its opening weekend, collecting Rs 28 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 32 crore on Saturday, and peaking at Rs 43 crore on Sunday.
The film's momentum has been persistent throughout the week, showcasing its remarkable box office stability. Monday saw an addition of Rs 23.25 crore, with Tuesday bringing in Rs 27 crore. Consistent earnings of Rs 27 crore on both Wednesday and Thursday contributed to a first-week total of Rs 207.25 crore, an exceptional feat for an action-heavy release.
The second week exceeded expectations, further establishing the film as a blockbuster. On Friday, Dhurandhar attracted Rs 32.5 crore, followed by a significant surge over the weekend — with Rs 53 crore on Saturday and Rs 58 crore on Sunday. The strong weekdays continued with Rs 30.5 crore on Monday, Rs 30 crore on Tuesday, Rs 25.5 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 23 crore on Thursday, bringing the total to Rs 460.25 crore in just 14 days.
Industry insiders note that the film surpassed its entire first-week earnings within the first six days of the second week, a rare phenomenon in today’s Bollywood landscape. The consistent daily collections maintaining above Rs 24 crore for nearly two weeks underscore the high demand and repeat attendance from audiences.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film features an impressive cast including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. Dhurandhar’s compelling storytelling, grand action sequences, and patriotic themes have struck a chord with audiences in both multiplexes and single-screen theaters.
With its remarkable box office run still gaining steam, Dhurandhar is anticipated to breach the Rs 500 crore milestone shortly. The creators have already unveiled plans for a sequel scheduled for theatrical release on March 19, 2026, indicating a promising future for this franchise.
