Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues to shine at the box office as it entered its third Friday with strong momentum. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 22.5 crore on Day 15, taking its net India total to Rs 483 crore. With steady collections, it is expected to cross the Rs 500 crore mark domestically as early as Day 16.
The film’s overseas performance is equally strong, with a worldwide gross currently at Rs 710.5 crore, making it one of the biggest Hindi hits of 2025. On Friday, overall Hindi cinema occupancy was 35.95%, starting at 16.68% in morning shows, rising to 33.96% in the afternoon, 42.86% in the evening, and peaking at 50.28% during night shows. Region-wise, Delhi-NCR led with 1,203 shows at 36.25% occupancy, while Mumbai had 927 shows with around 36% occupancy.
With these numbers, Dhurandhar has become the highest-grossing film of Ranveer Singh’s career, giving him a major commercial success after a few modest performers. It is currently the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, behind Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal. Strong domestic and overseas collections suggest it may surpass Chhaava’s lifetime worldwide total of Rs 807.91 crore. The film has already overtaken the global earnings of big hits like 2.0 and Gadar 2.
However, Dhurandhar still trails behind Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (Rs 553.87 crore) and last year’s Stree 2 (Rs 597.99 crore) in domestic earnings. The lack of major Hindi releases in the coming weeks is expected to help its continued run. The next big Bollywood release is Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aaryan, set for Christmas. Its main competition comes from James Cameron’s Hollywood film Avatar: Fire and Ash, which opened with around Rs 20 crore in India on its first day.
Set in Pakistan, this gangster drama is part of a two-part franchise, with the second film scheduled for Eid 2026. Alongside Ranveer Singh, the ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.
