In a significant initiative aimed at revolutionizing philanthropy, the Endowments and Minors’ Funds Authority (Awqaf Abu Dhabi) has formed a strategic alliance with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB). This collaboration is focused on refining the endowment landscape, advancing digital integration, and fostering sustainable donations within the Emirate.
The partnership will establish a comprehensive framework for licensed endowment entities, including businesses, institutions, real estate holdings, and agricultural ventures. These organizations can now create specialized bank accounts with ADIB, enabling easier access to a variety of tailored banking solutions designed for efficient management of endowment funds.
Leveraging Sharia-compliant options, ADIB will provide services encompassing online banking, payroll management, account oversight, as well as collection and payment systems. This ensures that all financial dealings are conducted securely, efficiently, and in accordance with Islamic guidelines, thereby enhancing the operational accountability of endowment entities.
Furthermore, the partnership allows individuals to directly contribute to recognized endowment portfolios through ADIB's digital platforms. Donors can support various causes such as healthcare, education, social welfare, orphan support, and community development. Contributions will be directed to dedicated Awqaf Abu Dhabi accounts, ensuring transparency and effective management of resources.
This collaboration reinforces Awqaf Abu Dhabi’s regulatory and supervisory role, supporting its aim to establish Abu Dhabi as a regional leader in innovative and well-managed endowment programs.
