Dubai CommerCity Achieves 98% Occupancy as Digital Sector Thrives

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai CommerCity has established itself as a hub for technology, AI, and e-commerce firms, boasting an impressive 98% occupancy rate in its Business District. This increase highlights the rising demand for innovative business environments that cater to swift digital expansion.

To meet the needs of growing enterprises, six new buildings are currently under construction, while the Logistics District operates at full capacity, particularly attracting companies in fashion, electronics, and last-mile delivery sectors. Additionally, the Social District has fully opened, featuring cafés, restaurants, and retail spaces that form an energetic business hub.

The achievements of this free zone align with the UAE’s broader digital aspirations. The growth of Dubai CommerCity is in step with the Dubai Digital Economy Strategy, which aims to double the sector’s GDP contribution by 2032. Plans for a new e-commerce fulfilment centre are set to be unveiled by mid-2026 to accommodate increasing online commerce demands.

Innovative digital technologies are reshaping operations within the zone. Automated robotics have propelled processed orders up by 158% in just one year, vastly improving shipment and delivery efficiency. Its prime location near Dubai International Airport facilitates access to approximately 3 billion consumers within five hours, establishing the zone as a critical hub for export and re-export.

Focus on sustainability is a hallmark of Dubai CommerCity, which incorporates eco-friendly solutions throughout its infrastructure, including solar energy systems, efficient technology, EV charging stations, and recycled water for air conditioning. These measures promote green e-commerce and environmentally friendly operations.

Continuing investments in logistics, AI, IoT, and machine learning are driving growth, with the free zone supporting startups through incubators and incentives. Dubai CommerCity aims to become a global leader in digital innovation, merging advanced infrastructure with sustainable development.
