Dubai Chambers, Cyprus CCCI Boost Trade, Investment Talks

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai Chambers recently hosted a high-level delegation from the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) to explore ways to strengthen economic and business cooperation between Dubai and Cyprus.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Mr. Stavros Stavrou, President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the discussions, both sides focused on improving trade and investment relations and expanding opportunities for businesses in both markets.

H.E. Lootah said the meeting reflects the shared commitment of Dubai and Cyprus to building stronger economic ties. He added that Dubai Chambers will continue to provide full support to boost trade and investment, help Cypriot companies access regional and global markets through Dubai, and support Dubai-based businesses in exploring opportunities in Cyprus.

Dubai Chamber of Commerce recorded strong growth in Cypriot business membership. A total of 101 new companies from Cyprus joined the chamber last year. By the end of 2025, the number of Cypriot companies registered as active members reached 639, showing an annual growth rate of 17.7%.

Trade between the two markets also continued to expand. Non-oil trade between Dubai and Cyprus reached AED 588 million in 2024.

Dubai Chamber of Commerce also recently launched the Cyprus Business Council. The council aims to strengthen cooperation between business communities, deepen bilateral trade and investment ties, and support partnerships across multiple sectors.
