Dubai Chambers has made a pivotal move to enhance its economic relationship with Oman, executing high-level meetings and strategic discussions in the city of Sohar.
A delegation led by H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, journeyed to Sohar in Oman’s North Al Batinah Governorate for exploring avenues to elevate bilateral trade and collaboration.
The delegation engaged in talks with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry – North Al Batinah Branch, focusing on strengthening ties between the business sectors of Dubai and Sohar, specifically in vital sectors of focus. Both parties underscored the necessity of unlocking valuable opportunities and fostering sustainable trade growth.
Additionally, the delegation visited SOHAR Port and Freezone and Sohar Industrial City (Madayn), where in-depth discussions took place regarding the facilitation of goods movement, enhancement of supply chain resilience, and improved logistics integration between the two areas.
In remarks during the visit, H.E. Lootah reiterated Dubai Chambers’ commitment to nurturing robust partnerships with crucial global markets. He pointed out that advancements in trade flows and logistics connectivity will create new prospects for economic cooperation and reinforce the stability of bilateral trade relations.
This initiative forms a part of Dubai Chambers’ wider goal of expanding global trade partnerships, creating significant business engagement avenues, and fortifying links between Dubai’s private sector and international markets. The strategy also aims to boost economic resilience and ensure adaptability to shifting global challenges.
