Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor announced that the award will expand to include the food, hospitality, and transport sectors, highlighting the vital role of workers in supporting Dubai’s economy. The Taqdeer Award now uses a 7-star classification system for its top winners, aiming to raise standards and competitiveness.
At the ceremony, Bayer Middle East FZE received the 7-star classification, while Airbus Africa & Middle East received the 6-star classification. The 5-star winners included Petronash FZE, Dulsco Group, Crown Emirates Company LTD., Aries Marine and Engg. Services LCC, SD – Middle East LLC, and Nestlé Dubai Manufacturing. Many other companies across real estate, manufacturing, and professional services received sub-category awards.
Since its launch in 2016, the Taqdeer Award has promoted workforce welfare and improved workplace environments across Dubai. Over six editions, 15,677 participants took part, with 165 companies honored, showing a 23% increase in participation overall. The award evaluates companies on institutional systems, workplace culture, labor relations, and performance outcomes.
During the event, the Dubai 7×7 initiative was also announced in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council. This initiative will feature seven sports over seven days across three labor zones, engaging over 20,000 workers, and will begin on Eid Al-Fitr, concluding with a running race and final sports events.
The sixth edition of the Taqdeer Award reinforces Dubai’s commitment to dignified work, workforce welfare, and the UAE’s vision of empowering people as a driving force for sustainable development.
