Dubai Islamic Bank Backs Dubai Schools with AED 11 Million for 2026-2027

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai, UAE – The Knowledge Fund Establishment (KFE) has reaffirmed its collaboration with Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), pledging AED 11 million for the “Dubai Schools” initiative for the academic year of 2026–2027.

This effort marks DIB's third year of investment, underscoring its dedication to enhancing education and advancing Dubai's developmental objectives.

The funding is aimed at broadening accessibility to high-quality, affordable education for Emirati students, fostering a generation poised to thrive in pivotal sectors and enhance the UAE's global standing.

These initiatives are in line with key Dubai strategies such as the Dubai Social Agenda 33, Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), and the Education 33 Strategy, all aimed at forging a modern education system that emphasizes innovation, national pride, and necessary skills for the future.

Both KFE and DIB recognize the vital role of public-private partnerships in fortifying educational frameworks and promoting sustainable social growth. The project also holds special significance during the UAE’s “Year of the Family,” enhancing educational possibilities for Emirati families.

His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, CEO of the Knowledge Fund Establishment, remarked that this partnership exemplifies fruitful collaboration between public and private sectors, crucial for preparing a skilled workforce to drive the nation’s future.

Obaid Al Shamsi, DIB's Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that backing education equates to investing in the country's long-term prospects, cultivating economic resilience and social advancement.

KFE also disclosed future expansion plans for the Dubai Schools project, with the second phase of the Nad Al Sheba campus poised for completion in July. The ambition is to accommodate up to 15,000 students by the academic year of 2032–2033.

Officials noted that continued support from the private sector, exemplified by DIB’s involvement, is essential for scaling the project and ensuring a robust, sustainable educational ecosystem for Emirati families in Dubai.
