Emirates Opens Centre to Train Cabin Crew in Luxury Service

Emirates Opens Centre to Train Cabin Crew in Luxury Service

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Dubai has set a new standard in airline hospitality as Emirates officially inaugurated its Centre of Hospitality Excellence. The USD 8 million facility is designed to train cabin crew in luxury service, fine dining, and world-class guest experiences. The sprawling centre serves nearly 25,000 crew members and includes classrooms, presentation kitchens, and a restaurant and lounge accommodating 170 guests.

Immersive Learning in Luxury Dining

The centre offers more than training—it allows cabin crew to experience hospitality firsthand. Crew members dine as guests, enjoying gourmet four-course meals created by Emirates’ master chefs. These meals replicate the airline’s First and Business Class offerings. Every detail, from plating to service, follows high culinary standards, helping crew internalize the essence of luxury hospitality.

State-of-the-Art Facilities for Crew Development

The facility includes eight technology-enabled classrooms, interactive presentation kitchens, and a dedicated culinary hub. Here, crew members learn plating, presentation, and flavour pairing. Training blends professional restaurant techniques with airline-specific service practices, enabling staff to create memorable, high-end experiences in the air.

Mastering Service Beyond Dining

Emirates emphasises the “Art of Service” program, which teaches cabin crew to anticipate guest needs, communicate with poise, and respond intuitively. Training transforms routine service into meaningful interactions between host and guest, ensuring passengers experience genuine care and attention throughout their journey.

Wine Education and Expertise

The centre hosts L’art du Vin, a specialised wine education programme. Crew members learn wine heritage, tasting techniques, and pairing with food. Training is scaled from introductory lessons to advanced First Class-level expertise, equipping staff to deliver sophisticated service across all cabin classes.

Continuous Learning and Career Growth

The Centre of Hospitality Excellence complements Emirates’ broader training initiatives, including the Crew Zone at the Emirates Group Headquarters. Training covers safety, security, image standards, and in-depth service skills. Practical sessions in full-motion aircraft simulators prepare crew to handle real-life scenarios, combining safety with excellence in hospitality.

Global Team and Signature Hospitality

Emirates employs nearly 25,000 cabin crew from over 140 countries, speaking more than 70 languages. The new centre ensures staff maintain the airline’s signature pillars: excellence, attentiveness, innovation, and passion. By enhancing skills in luxury service, Emirates continues to reinforce its reputation for world-class in-flight hospitality.

Through this state-of-the-art facility, Emirates demonstrates its dedication to providing passengers with exceptional experiences. The Centre of Hospitality Excellence ensures the airline remains a global leader in service quality, innovation, and crew development, setting new benchmarks in airline hospitality.
