Dubai Set to Host Premier Coffee Auctions in 2026

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Get ready for an exciting lineup at the World of Coffee Dubai 2026, featuring three significant auctions organized by DMCC at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 18 to 20. This edition promises to build on the success of the previous year, where select microlots fetched bids exceeding USD 10,000 per kilogram, reflecting the global demand for high-quality coffee.

This year, the event expands its offerings, further establishing Dubai as a vital hub between coffee origin countries and international buyers. Conducted in collaboration with DMCC and DXB LIVE, the auctions will provide a fully digital and transparent platform, enabling buyers to access verified information for every lot in real-time. Remote participation will continue to enhance accessibility, embodying Dubai’s commitment to efficiency in the specialty coffee market.

Each day during the three-day event will focus on different aspects. The first day will feature an exclusive selection of limited-edition coffee equipment, available solely through auction. The second day will spotlight specialty microlots from acclaimed coffee regions including Panama, Colombia, Ethiopia, Yemen, and Taiwan, complete with cupping sessions for quality assessments prior to bidding. The final day allows roasters and producers to connect with potential global buyers through showcased coffees.

The auctions occur amidst a booming UAE coffee market, currently valued over USD 3.2 billion and anticipated to reach USD 4.5 billion by 2029, spurred by a growing appetite for specialty coffee and an evolving café culture. Coffee re-exports have ascended beyond AED 3.5 billion, driven by a maturing industry that attracts global participants.

Applications are now open for coffee producers and equipment manufacturers eager to submit their items for the 2026 auctions. Each submission will undergo rigorous assessment based on innovation, quality, and traceability. Interested buyers must register in advance to participate in these exciting auctions, either in person or virtually.

Anticipation for World of Coffee Dubai 2026 is high, promising to attract considerable attention from the global coffee community and reaffirming Dubai’s role as a pivotal gathering place for producers, traders, and expert coffee enthusiasts shaping the industry's future.
