Dubai-based airline flydubai will introduce a second daily flight between Dubai and Bangkok from 18 July, responding to strong passenger demand for its recently launched Bangkok route.
The additional service comes only weeks after the airline began operating daily flights to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) on 1 July. The move will provide travellers with more flight choices and improved connectivity to Thailand's capital during the peak summer travel season.
With the launch of the second daily service, flydubai will operate up to 21 weekly flights to Thailand, further expanding its network in the country and offering passengers greater flexibility when planning their journeys.
The increase in flight frequency reflects the airline's continued focus on strengthening its international route network while meeting growing travel demand.
Commenting on the expansion, Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at flydubai, said: "The additional service provides greater flexibility and more travel options while reinforcing our commitment to enhancing connectivity and supporting Dubai's position as a leading international aviation hub."
Alongside the expanded Bangkok schedule, flydubai has recently launched flights to Benghazi in Libya. The airline is also preparing to begin services to Aleppo, Syria, from 20 July, followed by flights to Pokhara, Nepal, from 23 September.
