Tragic Plane Crash in North Carolina Claims Lives of Greg Biffle and Family

A devastating plane crash in North Carolina has resulted in the loss of seven lives, including former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife, and their two children.

The incident occurred on Thursday, December 19, 2025, shortly after the small business jet took flight.

Incident Details

Taking off from Statesville Airport, located just north of Charlotte, the plane ran into trouble shortly after takeoff and attempted to return.

However, the aircraft crashed before it could safely make a landing. Tragically, all seven individuals on board lost their lives.

Local authorities have confirmed that there were no survivors.

Victims of the Crash

Among the deceased was Greg Biffle, a well-known retired NASCAR racing driver.
Also among the victims were his wife Cristina Grossu Biffle and their two children.

A family friend and local official expressed deep sorrow over the loss, remembering Greg and his family as compassionate individuals always eager to assist others.

Official Statements

According to the county sheriff, all seven individuals in the aircraft were pronounced dead at the crash site.

The highway patrol reported that the jet had only just departed and was returning to the airport when the incident occurred.

The National Transportation Safety Board has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
