H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, attended the graduation ceremony for the 12th National Defense Course (2024–2025) at the National Defence College in Abu Dhabi. The event was also attended by Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadel Al Mazrouei, the Minister of State for Defense Affairs, along with several senior officials and officers.
During the ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Saif congratulated the graduates for their hard work and dedication throughout their education and practical training at the college. He praised their skills and readiness to contribute to the UAE’s growth, especially in areas like national security, defense, sustainability, and innovation.
H.H. also recognized the excellent work done by the National Defense College, which has become a leading institution in developing strategic thinking and leadership. The college plays a key role in providing the country with talented individuals, preparing military and security professionals to handle any challenges and protect the nation's achievements.
In his speech, Staff Brigadier Saeed Hassan Mohamed Alyammahi, the Commandant of the National Defense College, expressed pride in the graduation of national leaders from both military and civilian sectors. He highlighted how the college’s program prepares leaders to understand the national security system and tackle global and regional issues.
He also mentioned that the college continues to update its academic programs in line with national priorities, helping Emirati professionals be ready for security, political, economic, and technological challenges by encouraging strategic thinking and innovation.
This year's course was aligned with the "Year of Community" theme, which was launched by the leadership to emphasize the importance of social unity and national awareness in strengthening security. The college integrated this theme throughout the program for this year’s graduates.
At the end of the ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Saif honored the graduates.
