Indian cricket star Yashasvi Jaiswal shared a health update after being admitted to Aditya Birla Hospital due to severe stomach cramps during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. He experienced discomfort during Mumbai’s match against Rajasthan and was later diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis. Reports said he lost over 2 kg in just 48 hours and was advised to rest for 7-10 days.
Jaiswal thanked fans for their support, posting on X (formerly Twitter), "Just wanted to thank everyone for the overwhelming good wishes. I'm recovering well, grateful for the fantastic medical support, and looking forward to being back on the field soon!"
Sources revealed that Jaiswal might have suffered food poisoning after eating something at his hotel. His condition improved after timely treatment, including an ultrasound and CT scan at the hospital. Doctors have advised him to continue medication and take sufficient rest.
Due to his health, Jaiswal may miss the first few matches of the domestic one-day Vijay Hazare Trophy, starting on December 24. However, he is expected to be available for India’s upcoming ODIs against New Zealand.
Throughout the SMAT game, Jaiswal battled stomach cramps, and his condition worsened after the match. With proper care and rest, the young batter is on the path to recovery and is hopeful to return to cricket soon.
