The seventh iteration of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS) launched at the ADNEC Marina Hall, showcasing a plethora of regional and international maritime businesses. Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, the inaugural day featured a visit from Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who examined the latest innovations in boats, yachts, engines, and marine technologies.

Accompanying Sheikh Sultan were Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hamdan bin Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, CEO of ADNEC Group, alongside other notable officials. Together, they explored the exhibition halls and outdoor marina, discovering new products and models on exhibit.

During his visit, Sheikh Sultan delved into a variety of groundbreaking marine technologies exhibited by companies both locally and internationally. He received thorough insights into innovative projects aimed at bolstering Abu Dhabi’s maritime sector, which encompassed contemporary boat designs, cutting-edge engines, eco-friendly marine tools, and solutions enhancing safety and efficiency in aquatic activities. The creativity and advancements displayed by participating businesses were commended.

The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show has cemented its position as one of the premier events for the maritime industry in the region. The show unites global leaders from boat and yacht manufacturing, marine services, and water sports equipment, fostering connections among industry professionals, investors, and enthusiasts to exchange knowledge and explore opportunities. Moreover, it aligns with the UAE’s vision to cultivate a robust blue economy and a competitive maritime sector.

This year’s event has seen considerable expansion, with the exhibition area exceeding 85,000 square meters, a 14 percent increase over the previous edition. Participation has surged, featuring 1,068 exhibitors and brands—up by 32 percent compared to the 2024 version. Representation from 56 nations is present, with seven countries showcasing for the first time. Local participants comprise 31 percent while international markets make up 69 percent.

Visitors can enjoy a range of 11 entertainment activities throughout the four-day event, highlighting water sports, interactive displays, and family-friendly marine experiences, all designed to engage audiences with the maritime domain.

The exhibition flaunts a strong showing from companies involved in boat and yacht manufacturing, marine engines, and advanced water sports products. A significant emphasis on sustainability is evident, showcasing eco-friendly marine technologies and energy-efficient innovations. Many exhibitors present designs focused on minimizing environmental footprints while enhancing operational performance.

The boat show actively promotes Abu Dhabi’s emergence as a top-tier marine destination. The emirate is making substantial investments in modern marinas, state-of-the-art maintenance facilities, and sustainable boat-building initiatives to reinforce maritime infrastructure. Furthermore, the event accommodates government agencies overseeing environmental protection and maritime regulation, bridging public and private sectors to explore sustainable marine solutions.

ADIBS is pivotal in attracting investment and advancing research in maritime domains. By converging industry leaders, engineers, and specialists, the event spurs the development of new technologies that underpin the UAE’s long-term goals for its marine economy. In doing so, it fortifies Abu Dhabi’s standing as an international hub for marine innovation, leisure, and industry.
