In alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) proudly unveiled King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Park on December 16, 2025, in recognition of Bahrain's 54th National Day. This initiative embodies the strong friendship and strategic connections between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The park is designed as a family-oriented and eco-friendly space, showcasing over 1,100 mature Ghaf trees that foster a green environment, encouraging wellness, recreation, and sustainability.
Guests can enjoy various modern facilities such as elevated walking paths, scenic trails, a rich tree canopy, a pump track, cycling paths, and a fully air-conditioned walkway spanning nearly 700 meters. These features ensure the park is accessible and enjoyable year-round.
His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, stated that the park embodies the enduring bond between the UAE and Bahrain, showcasing the close fraternal ties between the countries' leaders and their citizens.
The facility also includes sprawling green expanses, yoga and meditation areas, vibrant play zones for children, and specialized fitness centers catering to seniors and People of Determination, promoting inclusivity for all.
At the heart of the park lies a newly established café with a cooled outdoor terrace and a raised viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the forest canopy. Furthermore, food trucks and refreshing water fountains are strategically placed throughout for visitor convenience.
King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Park is anticipated to become a landmark recreational area, celebrating unity, sustainability, and the profound partnership between the UAE and Bahrain.
