Madbridge and Animotion Partner to Build MENA Media Hub

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

A new partnership has been announced between Madbridge Commercial Investment, an Emirati investment company, and Animotion Media Group, a global animation and entertainment studio known for creating children’s favorites like The Fixies, Tina & Tony, Finnick, and BabyRiki. The collaboration aims to develop a regional entertainment hub that will bring world-class production standards to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The new hub, headquartered at Abu Dhabi’s Creative Hub, is designed to strengthen the region’s entertainment industry by focusing on creating original, high-quality content that appeals to both regional and international audiences. This initiative will serve as a foundation for creative production, training, and distribution — transforming the UAE into a key player in the global entertainment sector.

As part of their vision, the two companies plan to build a fully integrated entertainment ecosystem. This will include animation and live-action production, digital channels, and content distribution platforms across the region. The initiative also aims to nurture young creative talent and provide new opportunities for artists, animators, and storytellers in the Arab world.

In addition to producing new animated content, Animotion is preparing to launch a lineup of live-action series for children and teenagers. These new productions will focus on storytelling that reflects regional culture and values while maintaining international appeal. The ultimate goal is to produce content that resonates deeply with MENA audiences and simultaneously reaches viewers around the globe.

The partnership directly supports Abu Dhabi’s cultural and economic development strategy, which aims to strengthen its creative economy and promote family entertainment. Abu Dhabi has been actively investing in film, television, and media production infrastructure, making it an ideal base for such international collaborations. This initiative represents another major step in establishing the emirate as a regional center for creativity and innovation.

According to Madbridge, the investment reflects the company’s long-term commitment to industries that balance economic growth with cultural value. By working with Animotion, the firm hopes to encourage projects that have both creative and social impact. This aligns with the UAE’s broader goal of promoting sustainability and innovation within its cultural sectors.

Mohammed Al Dhaheri, CEO of Madbridge Commercial Investment, emphasized that the partnership highlights Abu Dhabi’s potential as a hub for creative industries. He said, “Our partnership with Animotion reflects our commitment to investing in industries that combine creativity, technology, and positive impact. Abu Dhabi offers the ideal environment to develop world-class entertainment content for both regional and international audiences.”

Meanwhile, Julia Nikolaeva, General Manager of Animotion Media Group, shared her excitement about the collaboration. She said, “Together with Madbridge, we are building a regional creative hub capable of developing content that speaks to MENA audiences and reaches global viewers.”

The new entertainment hub will not only promote innovation but also enhance the UAE’s cultural footprint globally. By combining Madbridge’s investment expertise with Animotion’s creative experience, the partnership seeks to deliver projects that celebrate Arab culture while engaging international audiences.

This partnership marks a major step in positioning the MENA region as a vibrant center for the global entertainment industry. With its combination of local talent, advanced infrastructure, and strategic investment, the project aims to bring new opportunities for collaboration, cultural exchange, and creative excellence in the years to come.
