A Mahan Air commercial flight from Tehran landed in Guangzhou, China, on September 23, according to FlightRadar24 tracking data. The flight was identified as IRM093 in reports on the development, which came as Washington’s new pressure on Iranian airlines took effect.
Flight Was Not Listed on Airport Website
Flight tracking data showed the aircraft arriving at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. However, reports said the flight was not listed on the airport’s official website at the time of publication. This means the tracking information and the airport’s public flight listing did not fully match.

US Warns Companies Serving Iranian Airlines
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had warned that companies providing Iranian aircraft with services such as landing support, fuel or ticket sales could face serious financial consequences. He said such companies could risk losing access to the US dollar financial system.
