Anthony Davis starred for the Dallas Mavericks, scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds, adding three steals and three blocks to lead his team to a 119-111 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Cooper Flagg supported with 22 points and eight assists, while Naji Marshall scored 17 and Max Christie added 15 points off the bench. P.J. Washington contributed 13 points to help Dallas secure its fifth victory in six games.
For the Nets, Michael Porter Jr. scored 34 points, making six of ten three-point attempts and marking his fourth straight game with 30 or more points. Danny Wolf added 17 points and seven rebounds off the bench, and Nic Claxton recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Terance Mann scored 12, while Noah Clowney and Tyrese Martin contributed 11 points each.
The game was closely contested throughout. Dallas led 65-61 at halftime, with Flagg scoring 18 first-half points and Porter adding 21 for Brooklyn. Late in the third quarter, the score was tied at 90 before Clowney gave Brooklyn a two-point edge with a basket.
In the final minutes, Dallas made a decisive 9-1 run to secure the win. Davis scored five straight points to put the Mavericks ahead 104-101. Brandon Williams and Davis added key points, giving Dallas a 115-110 lead with just over two minutes left.
Brooklyn narrowed the gap, but Washington’s free throws extended Dallas’ lead to 117-111, eventually finishing the game with their largest advantage. Dallas shot 48.9% from the field, while Brooklyn made 45.3%, including 17 of 39 from three-point range.
This victory highlighted Dallas’ strong teamwork and clutch performance in the closing moments, while Davis’ all-around play made the difference against a tough Nets side.
