World No. 16 Daniil Medvedev of Russia secured the final semifinal spot at the Shanghai Masters 1000 tournament by defeating Australia’s Alex de Minaur, ranked No. 7 globally. Medvedev won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, showcasing strong control throughout the match.

Quarterfinal Match Overview

The quarterfinal clash was of moderate intensity, with Medvedev dominating rallies and facing limited resistance from de Minaur. His precise serves and consistent baseline play allowed him to maintain an edge, leading to a straight-sets victory without much pressure.

Medvedev’s Semifinal Opponent

In the semifinals, Medvedev will face Arthur Rinderknech of France, ranked 54th in the world. Rinderknech impressed again by defeating Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime (No. 13) in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, continuing his remarkable run in the tournament.

Djokovic Advances To Semifinals

In the other semifinal, Novak Djokovic of Serbia will face Monaco’s Valentin Vacherot. Djokovic advanced after a straight-sets win over Belgium’s Zizou Bergs in the quarterfinals. His performance was marked by strong serves and tactical play that kept his opponent on the defensive.
