The Saudi International Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2025 hosted the Melwah race, part of the prestigious six-day event, at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh. The race concluded its gyr shaheen heat yesterday, with ten winners emerging from intense competition.

The Melwah race is one of the main highlights of the six-day exhibition, running from October 5 to 10, featuring a total prize pool of SAR 600,000. The event attracts top falconers and participants from across the Kingdom, showcasing the traditional sport of falcon racing that has deep cultural roots in Saudi Arabia.

In the gyr shaheen heat, ten winners were recognized for their outstanding performance. The prize distribution was set as SAR 25,000 for first place, SAR 20,000 for second, SAR 15,000 for third, SAR 10,000 for fourth, SAR 7,000 for fifth, and SAR 5,000 for sixth place. Participants ranking seventh to tenth each received SAR 4,500, acknowledging their skill and dedication.
