Mohammed bin Rashid Visits ATM 2026 in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited the 33rd edition of Arabian Travel Market 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The major international tourism event is being held until September 17 and has brought together travel companies, tourism authorities, airlines, hotels and industry professionals from around the world.

Dubai Strengthens Its Global Tourism Position

During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid reviewed the latest developments, innovations and solutions shaping the future of international travel and tourism. He was briefed by Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and Director General of the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority, on the key highlights of this year’s event and its importance in creating new partnerships and business opportunities.

Focus on Innovation and International Partnerships

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed participants at Arabian Travel Market and highlighted the event’s role in strengthening Dubai’s position as a major global platform for the travel and tourism sector. He emphasised the importance of collaboration, knowledge sharing, innovation and strong international partnerships in supporting the continued development and competitiveness of the industry.

Global Participation Highlights Dubai’s Appeal

The Dubai ruler also praised the strong international participation at ATM 2026, saying it reflects growing confidence in Dubai and its ability to contribute to innovation and development across global tourism. During his tour, he visited several national and international pavilions, including Kuwait Airways, Bahrain, Qatar Airways, Qatar, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways and Spain.

AI and Technology Shape the Future of Travel

Sheikh Mohammed also visited stands operated by major hospitality groups, including Minor Hotels, STORY Hospitality, Marriott Bonvoy and IHG Hotels & Resorts. He reviewed new initiatives, services and technologies focused on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainable tourism and smart mobility, highlighting the rapid changes taking place across the global travel industry.

ATM 2026 Looks Toward Travel 2040

Held under the theme “Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology,” Arabian Travel Market 2026 examines major trends expected to shape tourism in the coming years. These include artificial intelligence, changing traveller expectations, destination resilience, smart mobility, digital transformation and sustainable long-term growth.

The 33rd edition of Arabian Travel Market provides a platform for tourism authorities, airlines, hotels, technology companies, service providers, investors and industry leaders to exchange knowledge and build new business relationships.
