His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman met today with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Al Barakah Palace for an official session of talks. The meeting marked a significant step in strengthening the long-standing partnership between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India. Both leaders expressed their commitment to advancing their strategic relations and exploring new areas of collaboration.
During the discussions, the leaders reviewed the existing framework of bilateral cooperation and emphasized the need to expand trade and investment opportunities. They focused on creating new avenues for growth that would benefit both nations economically and socially. The talks reflected a shared vision of enhancing mutual prosperity through sustainable and inclusive development.
Special attention was given to key sectors including energy cooperation, technology growth, logistics, and food security. The leaders discussed projects and initiatives aimed at boosting efficiency, innovation, and long-term economic stability. Both sides also explored ways to strengthen manufacturing investment and agricultural production, which are crucial for meeting future demands and diversifying their economies.

The official session was attended by senior officials and ministers from both sides. From Oman, the delegation included ministers of the Royal Office, Finance, Foreign Affairs, Commerce, and the Chairman of Oman Investment Authority. India’s delegation included the Ministers of External Affairs and Commerce, the National Security Advisor, and senior government officials. Their presence highlighted the importance both countries place on advancing bilateral cooperation and fostering long-term strategic partnerships.
