Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Sultanate of Oman is propelling its international trade ambitions with a prominent delegation at the 46th Big 5 Global exhibition, which commenced on November 24, 2025, in Dubai, UAE. This participation signifies a pivotal moment for Omani businesses as they aim to forge connections with global investors.

The delegation includes 22 companies from the construction sector, all backed by the OPEX team. These firms span various domains, including building materials, infrastructure innovations, and advanced construction technologies. Their involvement in the exhibition seeks to penetrate new markets, reinforce alliances, and elevate Omani products for international buyers.

Officials affirmed the importance of this endeavor in bolstering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The expo serves as a vital platform for these entities to display their skills, engage with global networks, and secure essential investments. Attendance at this large-scale event empowers Omani firms to access the latest construction advancements and networking possibilities with global corporations.

This initiative aligns seamlessly with Oman’s national development strategies outlined in Oman Vision 2040, which prioritizes economic diversification, export enhancement, and a competitive private sector. Participation in events like the Big 5 Global draws Oman closer to its objectives by promoting knowledge exchange, business expansion, and international partnerships.

At the exhibition, the Omani delegation is set to engage in networking events, panel discussions, and B2B meetings. These initiatives aim to provide Omani companies with insights into global practices, explore collaborative ventures, and discuss investment prospects in the regional construction and infrastructure landscape.

Moreover, Oman’s participation underscores its dedication to construction innovation and sustainable practices. Numerous exhibiting companies are showcasing eco-friendly building materials, energy-efficient innovations, and sophisticated construction techniques that meet global sustainability benchmarks.

A spokesperson from the delegation remarked, “Participating in Big 5 Global marks a significant achievement for Omani firms eager to venture into international markets. It reflects our determination to compete globally and supports the growth of SMEs and the private sector in national development.”

The exhibition draws thousands of industry professionals, investors, and decision-makers from around the globe, establishing itself as one of the foremost platforms for the construction sector. For Oman, it presents a unique chance to enhance trade links, augment the global profile of its products, and support long-term business evolution.

Oman’s impressive showcase at the Big 5 Global exhibition highlights its strategic intent to bolster international trade, support SMEs, and cultivate a resilient and diversified economy in accordance with Oman Vision 2040.
