OnePlus 15R to Launch in India on December 17 With Big Upgrades

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

OnePlus is all set to launch its new OnePlus 15R smartphone in India on December 17. The device is expected to follow the design of the OnePlus Ace 6T from China, with changes for the Indian market. According to leaks, the 15R will be available in two storage variants. The base model will come with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced between Rs. 45,999 and Rs. 46,999. The higher variant will feature 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, with a price around Rs. 51,999. Buyers may also get additional discounts of Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,000 through select payment offers. The phone will be offered in Charcoal Black and Minty Green color options.

The OnePlus 15R will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, making it one of the first phones globally to feature Qualcomm’s newest chip. OnePlus worked closely with Qualcomm to enhance speed and energy efficiency. The device will have a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, providing smooth performance for scrolling and gaming.

Battery capacity is a key highlight, as the 15R will include a 7,400 mAh battery, larger than both the previous 14R and current OnePlus 15 models. Reports indicate support for 80W fast charging, though official charging time is yet to be shared.

The phone is expected to feature a triple-camera setup, with a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 32MP front camera suitable for selfies and vlogging. Leaks also suggest multiple protection ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, indicating resistance to dust, water, and high-pressure water flow.

OnePlus is likely to confirm full specifications, pricing, and availability during the launch event. The OnePlus 15R aims to offer a combination of high-end performance, long battery life, and premium design for Indian consumers.
