Pulisic Stars as AC Milan Come Back to Beat Torino 3-2

Pulisic Stars as AC Milan Come Back to Beat Torino 3-2

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

AC Milan climbed to the top of Serie A after a dramatic 3-2 comeback win against Torino on Monday, thanks to two late goals by USA star Christian Pulisic. The American attacker came on as a second-half substitute and changed the entire game within minutes, helping Milan move above Napoli on goal difference. Pulisic was named on the bench due to flu symptoms, but once he entered the match in the 67th minute, he made an instant impact.

Torino had taken early control at home, with Nikola Vlasic scoring from the penalty spot before Duvan Zapata doubled the lead in the 17th minute. Milan struggled to settle at first, but Adrien Rabiot pulled one back with a powerful long-range strike just seven minutes later. The visitors continued to push forward, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek came close to equalising, only to be denied by goalkeeper Franco Israel.

Pulisic stepped onto the field and immediately gave Milan fresh energy. With his very first touch, he scored from close range to bring Milan level and lift the team’s confidence. Just 13 minutes later, the American forward struck again, firing a neat low half-volley that completed Milan’s impressive comeback. His sharp performance highlighted his importance to the squad and boosted Milan’s title hopes.

During added time, Pulisic almost secured his hat-trick and an eighth league goal of the season, but the effort was ruled out because Christopher Nkunku was offside in the build-up. Despite that, Milan walked away with a crucial win, reclaiming their position at the top of the table. The club now prepares for their next match against Sassuolo, while Torino, sitting 16th, continue their search for their first win since late October.
