Post by : Meena Hassan

Raihan Vadra, the son of notable Congress figure Priyanka Gandhi and entrepreneur Robert Vadra, is officially engaged to Delhi-based photographer Aviva Baig. The couple, who have been in a relationship for seven years, share a bond further strengthened by their closely-knit family connections.

Aviva Baig is an accomplished photographer with a solid academic background in media and communication. She attended Modern School in Delhi before obtaining a degree in Journalism and Communication from OP Jindal Global University. Her love for photography drove her to co-establish Atelier 11, a renowned photo studio and production house that collaborates with multiple clients and agencies across India. Aviva has gained recognition for her work at various exhibitions, including her participation in the 'You Cannot Miss This' exhibition at Method Gallery in 2023 and the Young Collector Programme at the India Art Fair.

In addition to her photography, Aviva boasts diverse experience in the media industry, having worked as a freelance producer at PlusRymn, a junior project manager at PROPAGANDA, and a marketing intern at Art Chain India. She also served as the editor-in-chief of The Journal at I-Parliament and completed internships at notable publications like Verve Magazine India and Creative IMAGE Magazine, enhancing her skills in editorial and communication.

Raihan Vadra has cultivated a passion for photography since childhood, exploring various genres such as wildlife, street, and commercial photography. A key moment in his artistic journey occurred after an eye injury during a school cricket match, which led him to delve into black-and-white photography, using shadows and contrasts to evoke depth and emotion in his work. His inaugural solo exhibition at Bikaner House in New Delhi marked a significant milestone in his artistic pathway.

Encouraged by his mother, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Raihan is continuously refining his photographic talents while drawing inspiration from his late grandfather, Rajiv Gandhi, a former Indian Prime Minister known for his interest in photography.

The engagement of Raihan Vadra and Aviva Baig signifies a promising new chapter for the couple as they embark on their journey together. Both celebrated for their artistic abilities, their union embodies the merging of two creative individuals from culturally rich families.
