Dubai: A cool, overcast Friday morning graced the UAE, as heavy rainfall unfolded in areas like Sharjah and Fujairah, per the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
The weather agency has issued warnings for continued rainfall today, particularly as convective clouds are forming over the northern and eastern parts of the nation.
Light to moderate winds are anticipated, with mist or fog likely in the early morning hours, notably in coastal and low-lying inland regions.
The NCM pointed out a significant rise in humidity levels, which could reach as high as 90%. This surge in moisture raises the possibility of dense fog or mist, especially in Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman during late night and early morning hours.
Motorists are urged to drive with caution, as low visibility is predicted in fog-affected zones.
Temperatures across the UAE remain quite pleasant, typical of the winter season. Morning lows are hovering around the mid-15°C range, with daytime highs potentially reaching 26°C. Currently, Dubai registers around 19°C under partly cloudy skies.
While wind speeds may peak at 35 km/h, sea conditions are expected to stay generally calm, providing stable coastal conditions.
Residents are advised to keep an eye on official weather updates and take necessary precautions while traveling.
