Ras Al Khaimah is gearing up to broaden its global trade connections after receiving a significant delegation from China’s Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. This visit, spearheaded by Deputy Director General Wang Shuping, signifies a pivotal moment in strengthening ties between the Emirate and one of China's premier industrial regions.
Among the delegation were key officials from the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair in Guangdong. They were warmly welcomed by Youssef Ismail, First Vice President of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, together with Mohammed Al-Sabab, Deputy Director-General of the Chamber, and Eman Al-Hayyas, Director-General of the Saud bin Saqr Establishment for Youth Projects Development.
The discussions centered around potential collaborative projects in the fields of healthcare, manufacturing, and information technology. Youssef Ismail underscored the Chamber's commitment to fostering investor support, encouraging sustainable industrial evolution, and organizing events like exhibitions and forums to elevate Ras Al Khaimah's status as a global business center.
The role of the Saud Establishment in promoting youth-led small and medium enterprises was notably highlighted, as the organization extends comprehensive resources to entrepreneurs, providing avenues for training and market access. Additionally, plans for participation in the upcoming China Homelife Expo UAE were discussed, facilitating deeper connections between Emirati and Chinese trade networks.
The Chinese representatives praised Ras Al Khaimah’s industrial strengths and showed enthusiasm for hosting significant trade events in the Emirate, showcasing Guangdong Province's advanced manufacturing prowess and economic opportunities. They noted the vital contribution of small enterprises to job creation, innovation, and youth empowerment, aligning with Ras Al Khaimah's and the UAE's broader objectives.
As part of the ongoing collaboration, the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber and the Saud bin Saqr Establishment are invited to the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) set for September 2026, a key venue for trade engagement featuring over 1,500 Chinese businesses. This invitation presents a strategic chance to deepen trade relations, exchange knowledge, and explore new markets for Emirati firms.
This initiative reaffirms Ras Al Khaimah’s dedication to forging robust global partnerships and cultivating a climate conducive to entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable economic growth.
