RAKEZ India Roadshow Strengthens UAE–India Business Links

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has successfully wrapped up its significant India Roadshow, forging connections between Indian entrepreneurs and opportunities within the UAE across notable cities including Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, and New Delhi. This initiative attracted more than 200 businesses from diverse sectors like manufacturing, engineering, chemicals, and building materials.

The week-long event highlighted RAKEZ's pivotal role in line with the UAE–India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and underscored its competitive industrial ecosystem, offering a cost-effective base for Indian companies aiming for international growth.

In a significant development during the New Delhi event, RAKEZ signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). This agreement sets the stage for collaborative endeavors such as knowledge sharing, joint business events, delegation visits, and facilitating Indian firms to tap into UAE market access.

The roadshow also concluded the inaugural UAE–India Start-up Series, which highlighted promising Indian start-ups. Among the standout winners was Bioreform, a Hyderabad-based firm specializing in biodegradable and compostable packaging alternatives, which will now receive RAKEZ support to expand its reach globally.

Through engaging sessions and roundtable discussions, RAKEZ promoted its business-friendly policies, opportunities for joint ventures, technology partnerships, and the potential for Indian businesses to grow within Ras Al Khaimah. This initiative greatly reinforced UAE–India trade relations and established RAKEZ as a vital entry point for Indian enterprises seeking expansion in regional and global markets.
