Samsung Introduces Third Beta of One UI 8.5 for Galaxy Fold and Flip Models

Samsung Introduces Third Beta of One UI 8.5 for Galaxy Fold and Flip Models

Post by : Shweta

Samsung has launched the third beta iteration of One UI 8.5, which is based on Android 16, tailored for its newest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. This update is presently available in South Korea and will be rolled out to other markets in the near future.

This beta release primarily targets better system stability while resolving multiple issues reported by users from previous versions. The firmware, identified by the ending ZZD3, features six bug fixes designed to enhance the user experience significantly.

Key issues addressed include a fix for the lock screen weather AI background turning black upon screen activation or deactivation, along with correcting display shifts in the phone and call screen interface. A glitch where the top status bar remained visible during full-screen video playback and gaming activities has also been resolved.

Additional updates include rectifying a missing send button when sharing links through texts and troubleshooting an image display issue on the cover screen. The update also tackles a camera-related malfunction that would prevent the app from launching correctly.

Currently, the rollout is exclusive to users enrolled in the One UI 8.5 beta testing program. Eligible participants can access the update by visiting the software update section within their device settings.

Samsung is likely to keep refining the software through additional updates leading to the stable version's release. This ongoing beta initiative underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing the performance and reliability of its foldable smartphones before a broader global launch.
