Saudi Minister Congratulates Team on 2026 World Cup Qualification

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), extended his heartfelt congratulations to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

He also addressed the Saudi people, celebrating the national football team’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking the seventh time the Kingdom has reached the prestigious tournament, to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Acknowledging Leadership Support

In his statement, the minister expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the Saudi leadership for their constant attention and generous support to sports and athletes.

He highlighted that the wise leadership has provided every necessary means to ensure the Kingdom’s flag flies high at international sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to sporting excellence.

Celebrating the National Football Team

Prince Abdulaziz also congratulated the players of the Saudi national team, along with the technical and administrative staff, on officially securing qualification.

He praised their hard work, dedication, and achievements, noting that this accomplishment reflects the Kingdom’s growing stature in international football and its ability to compete at the highest levels.
