In an interview with NDTV, the son said, “My parents were returning from Bangla Sahib when they met with an accident. And for some reason, they were brought 17 km away to a hospital in GTB Nagar. My father is dead and my mother is seriously injured.”

He further claimed that the hospital staff had no information about her and appeared to be evasive about her condition. The woman driving the car has been identified as Gaganpreet. Her husband, Parikshit, was sitting in the passenger seat at the time of the accident.
