The meeting was held in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, also Vice Chairman of the SEC, at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office.
Wheat Harvest and “Mazraaty” Platform
The Council congratulated His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on the successful fourth season wheat harvest. The Council also praised the launch of the “Mazraaty” platform, which aims to support farmers and livestock breeders.
The initiative focuses on improving the quality of organic agricultural products, strengthening the national food security system, and ensuring long-term sustainability.
Government Performance and Development Plans
The Council reviewed the performance of government departments and authorities. It also discussed development plans across various sectors aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens.
These plans are designed to meet community needs and enhance the efficiency of government services across the emirate.
Approval of Sharjah Archaeology Authority Structure
The Council approved the organisational structure and job roles for the Sharjah Archaeology Authority (SAA). This decision follows directives to strengthen institutional performance and improve government efficiency.
The move will help build strong national expertise in the archaeology sector and support efforts to preserve cultural heritage. It also reinforces Sharjah’s position as a leading cultural hub at regional and international levels.
Judicial Sector Reforms
The Council approved new fees for expert services in judicial authorities. This step aims to regulate professional practices, improve service quality, and strengthen transparency and fairness in legal processes.
Housing Projects and Family Stability
The Council reviewed a report on residential complexes and their role in supporting families. These projects help speed up housing delivery, reduce construction costs, and ensure high-quality standards through unified designs and supervision.
The complexes also provide complete infrastructure and services, improving living conditions and reducing delays in housing construction.
Housing Statistics and Future Plans
According to the report, a total of 2,488 government housing units are under development across Sharjah. Out of these, 1,154 homes have been completed and delivered, while work continues on 1,334 units.
The report also highlighted the distribution of housing projects, key challenges, and future recommendations. These efforts aim to further improve the housing system and meet the expectations of citizens.
